The evolution of magnetic therapy

Natural magnetic fields have occurred throughout the universe since the beginning of time. They accompanied the emergence of the first life forms and played a crucial role in the process of evolution. We could not survive without them. Nobel Prize winner, German physicist Professor Heisenberg, describes electromagnetic energy as ‘basic energy on which the life of an organism depends’. Electromotive forces initiated by the action of electromagnetic fields take part in most of the processes within our body. As a result of these inner forces, blood flows through our veins, ions move in inner and outer cellular fluids and metabolism takes place.

Over recent decades, medical attention has been particularly focused on non-invasive treatment methods and much has been learnt about the impact of magnetic fields – especially those of a slow-changing nature – on biological processes within a living organism. The beneficial influences of these fields on some oxygen and anaerobic respiration processes has been proved and explained. It was also found that, through increasing the secretion of endogenic opiates, magnetic fields help to fight pain.

Numerous studies conducted in laboratories and clinics throughout the world have laid the scientific foundations for the application of magnetic fields in medicine. Magnetostimulation is now recognised as a therapy which can assist in the treatment of a wide range of ailments, including injuries and chronic diseases, by utilising body fluids as ionic conductors of the electric current.

The development of the Viofor JPS System

In parallel with the expansion in our understanding of the potential for magnetic therapy, there have been developments in mathematics, physics and technology. These have resulted in a new generation of medical devices which have significantly widened the application and effectiveness of variable magnetic fields in medicine. The Viofor JPS System is at the forefront of this new generation, combining as it does two different magnetic signals, resulting in more effective ionic transport through cell membranes and inter-cellular membranes, compared with previous methods of magnetostimulation.

Developed over the past fifteen years in Europe by the world’s leading authorities in the field of the application of magnetic fields in medicine – Professors F Jaroszyk and J Paluszak from the Medical Academy in Poznan and Professor A Sieron from the Silesian Medical Academy in Poland – it is a breakthrough in the treatment of pain and helps to reverse the symptoms of major conditions. It works by utilising a slow changing, low induction magnetic field that is tuned to work with the body's natural resonating frequencies. This means it speeds up the natural healing process without forcing the body into recovery.

Conventional electromagenetic therapy systems utilise much higher induction levels with simple, repetitive wave patterns at a set frequency; the high induction levels quickly activate the body’s defence mechanisms and the body tend to adapt to the repetitive stimulus after a while, reducing the effectiveness of the treatment. In comparison, in magnetostimulation, induction levels are much lower, wave patterns are complex and variable and frequencies are combined to create a complex pattern – thereby generating a slow-changing, low induction magnetic field that is tuned to work with the body’s natural resonating frequencies.

As a result, conventional electromagnetic therapy systems subject the body to prolonged periods of high intensity electro magnetic waves, which, while effective, can cause trauma and can be limited in their use. In contrast, electromagnetostimulation therapy systems speed up the body’s natural healing process without forcing the body into recovery.

For these reasons, the Viofor JPS is so effective that it is widely used within the health systems of many European countries, including Germany and France.

The Viofor JPS System has undergone stringent clinical and scientific research, which has demonstrated that this is indeed a revolutionary breakthrough in the treatment of pain and the reversal of many major conditions. Those who suffer from arthritis or bone and joint degeneration benefit from pain relief and improved circulation. Sports injuries are healed more quickly by accelerating the rebuilding of cells, rehydrating and oxygenation. This in turn reduces pain and discomfort. In addition, tests show that in the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis, significant improvements are made, including reduced fatigue, decreased spasticity, improved mobility, better bladder control and reduced pain.

Doctors in Europe agree that this is a remarkable system which, combined with traditional treatments, will change the future of remedial therapy.

Awards and certification

The Viofor JPS System has won many prestigious national and international awards, including gold medals at the 50 th World Exhibition of Development, Research and New Technologies and at the International Invest Technology 2002. In addition, the equipment has a certification CE0120. which confirms its compliance with the requirements of the EU directive on medical devices, as well as medical certificates from most European countries. The manufacturers hold certificates ISO 9002, ISO 13488 and EN 46002.
